The value of effective team training and onboarding
UX professionals, leadership teams, product people, marketers, and more can all benefit from user insights. But for folks who don’t have as much training or experience in research as a professional UXR, the process can seem intimidating.
That’s why Research Hub was created. Our user-friendly workspace was intentionally designed to make research easy for anyone to get started, from beginners to seasoned researchers. Teams who take full advantage of our panel management tool can achieve:
- Seamless collaboration and shared visibility among cross-functional teams, allowing researchers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to access and contribute to research.
- A single source of truth for all research activity: With centralized research activity and participant information, it’s easy for teams to track study progress and access up-to-date insights to inform decisions.
- Team-wide standardization and governance to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and secure access across the team, without needing additional hand holding from research leaders.
Like any new tool, there’s a small learning curve and practical tips that can make onboarding easier. As a team admin, you play a crucial role in the successful rollout of Research Hub across your organization. By creating a tailored training program for your team, you can:
- Preemptively address areas of confusion and prevent unnecessary roadblocks
- Enforce consistent, best-practice research practices across all researchers, no matter their experience level
- Improve collaboration and visibility of research across the org, stretching the value of insights
- Onboard and scale research as fast as possible to start seeing value from Hub right away
Specific team goals and milestones to aim for throughout the course
By the time you begin planning a team rollout, you should have already set up the basics—including adding payment methods, setting up branding and templates, and launching your first project—to prepare Research Hub for your team. During the team activation phase, you’ll want to hit the following milestones:
- Create templates and internal guides
- Schedule a group meeting with your CSM for a live team launch
- Onboard a small core group of researchers
- Expand usage to the rest of the team
