Welcome to the first lesson of the Integrations course with User Interviews!
Integrations are an important lever you can pull to reduce friction during the research process. Whether you’re already using a variety of research tools or you’re just starting to build your stack, this course will give you a great jumping off point for evaluating different integrations with User Interviews.

Better together: Why using integrations with UI just makes sense
User Interviews may be the best recruiting and panel management platform on the market—but we definitely don’t do everything. Our integrations, redirects support, and the Hub API allow you to build a best-in-class research stack, entirely unique to your budget and needs.
In other words, setting up integrations with UI gives you the benefit of:
- Specialization: Our platform focuses on what it does best – facilitating user research through quality participants
- Expertise: We leverage specialized tools for additional functionalities, from calendar and video integrations to usability tests and surveys
- Flexibility: Brands can select tools they are already comfortable with, conduct flexible research, and build personalized workflows
The 3 types of integrations with UI
To provide you with the widest range of connected tools, User Interviews offers three main types of integrations:
- Standard integrations: We offer a standard connect experience with a variety of calendar, data, survey, testing, and video tools (more details on each of these in following courses), and we’re always actively working on building integrations with additional tools.
- Redirects support: Redirects are a great solution when existing integrations with tools aren't available. By using User Interviews's custom link and redirect system, you gain flexibility and control without needing to wait for new integrations. Learn more about how redirects work.
The Hub API: You can use our Hub API to securely sync live data into Research Hub and keep participant records fresh. Build a custom integration for more flexibility, or use Zapier, Census, or Hightouch for a quick set-up. Apply to join the API program.
